PHILANTHROPY
One of the founding principles of Alpha Omicron Pi is to be of service to others - to bring into the world around us a spirit of love, not for self-glory, but as an opportunity to give something back to our communities. Each AOΠ chapter and its members may choose to organize and participate in various fund-raising and hands-on service events. Our sisters have fun while sharing their friendship and love through community service. Through the years, the combined service efforts of over 115,000 members has made a marked difference in the lives of thousands.
AOΠ's International Philanthropy
Alpha Omicron Pi’s International Philanthropy supports Arthritis, Juvenile Arthritis and related diseases. Since 1967 when we adopted the Arthritis Foundation and Canadian Arthritis Society as our international philanthropy, over one million dollars has been raised by AOΠs to help researchers find a cure for this crippling disease that, so often, targets women as its victims.
Amanda's Cruise for Juvenile Arthrits
Amanda's Cruise for Juvenile Arthritis has been running for the past 6 years. It is a local fundraiser for juvenile arthritis. AOΠ started volunteering at the event in 2008 and will continue to participate in the years to come. This year marks the 6th anniversary of the fundraiser and we, on behalf of the coordinators of the fundraiser, invite you to come out and support this worthy cause!
For more information on the event, visit their website at Amanda's Cruise for Juvenile Arthritis

Other Philanthropies
Like other chapters of AOΠ, Lambda Epsilon is not only involved in Arthritis awareness and research, we also take part in numerous other fundraising events throughout the year such as Relay for Life and Trick or Eat. We also donate time to countless local community projects to benefit children, the elderly, the less fortunate, and others.
